# 28th July - Homnifi Platform Update

### Preparing for What’s Next 

As part of our ongoing evolution toward next-generation decentralized compute infrastructure, the Homnifi platform is entering a planned transition phase.

This phase will include a new category of computer devices, designed for scale, built for performance, and deeply aligned with Homnifi’s long-term  decentralization strategy.

We’re not ready to reveal full details just yet, but we’re close. What’s coming is not just a hardware refresh, but a step forward in capability. Until then, we have key operational adjustments to support users during this period.

### Discontinuation of Gen-2 Computer Device Sales

In alignment with upcoming product upgrades, Homnifi will be discontinuing all Gen-2 Computer Devices sales in Horysmall, including SmartPay plans. This phase-out will take effect starting 30th July 2025. The Horysmall platform will be under maintainance for 24-48 hours on the 30th to prepare for the product updates. 

### Shipping and Delivery Update

At present, shipping payments are temporarily paused. A revised shipping schedule, along with new payment windows, will be announced shortly.

To support users during this transition:

* Extended Supernode Delivery Grace Period: The delivery-related criteria and associated Supernode penalties will remain suspended. These will only be introduced once shipping payment options are resumed and revised timelines are communicated.
* Extended Grace Period for Connection-Based Boosts: For users who have already completed shipping/pickup payment, the window for bringing Computer Devices online to qualify for early connection benefits will be extended. Specific updates will be provided in due course

Further information regarding the next-generation product release, updated timelines, and system enhancements will be communicated through official channels.
