NodeK Hosting: From In-House to Delivery with Online Connection
Discover NodeK’s secure, scalable hosting options with Homnifi’s integrated experience. Learn how LayerK enables an efficient journey from immediate device activation to global delivery
Step 1: In-House Storage – Fully Managed, Immediate Activation
When you purchase the NodeK Computer device it comes with an In-House Storage, your device is hosted in our secure, professional-grade LayerK facility. Here’s what that means for you:
Immediate Activation: Right after your purchase, a device is automatically assigned and activated under your account. You don’t need to do anything technical.
Secure & Stable: Your computer device runs in an environment with top-tier security, climate control, and regular maintenance by our expert operations team.
Fully Maintained: We manage software updates, hardware health, and uptime to ensure it’s always contributing to the network.
Live Performance Tracking: From your Homnifi device dashboard, you can track uptime, performance stats, reward generation, and more in real-time.
Why This Matters? Immediate activation ensures zero delay in onboarding, while professional maintenance guarantees uptime and performance stability. You join a globally distributed network backed by reliable infrastructure from the start.
Step 2: Online Connection – Connect and Host Your Computer Device
The Online Connection feature lets you connect your own NodeK device from anywhere in the world — home, office, or data center to the LayerK network.
Connect Your Hardware: After purchasing a NodeK license, you can register your own device by entering its unique ID.
Easy Setup: The dashboard guides you through the connection steps, including system requirements and a one-click verification process.
Flexible Hosting: You maintain complete control of your device - install updates, manage connectivity, and monitor performance from your side.
Verified & Synced: Once connected, your device is verified and begins syncing with the LayerK blockchain.
Why This Matters? Connecting and self-hosting allows you full control over your hardware while staying integrated into the LayerK ecosystem. It reinforces the principles of decentralization and transparency, letting you contribute from anywhere globally on your terms.
Unified Monitoring via Homnifi Dashboard
No matter which method you choose, you get access to a comprehensive Homnifi Dashboard:
For In-House Device: View performance, uptime, and auto-maintenance logs.
For Online Device: Track sync status, device verification, and connectivity health.
For Both: Monitor reward generation, connection status, and historical activity.
Why This Matters: You gain insight into your device's live performance and contribution to the network, whether it's in our facility or at your home—supporting proactive management and informed decisions.
Upgrade Path: Transition from In-House to Online
Want to switch from in-house to managing your own device? You can request to Initiate shipping on Horysmall:
A shipping request form is available on the dashboard.
Your in-house computer device is decommissioned and re-assigned to another user.
Your new hardware is delivered to your location (shipping fees apply), and you can connect it via the Online Connection setup.
This provides a clear pathway to decentralization — starting managed, then moving to full autonomy.
NodeK – Online Internet Connectivity & Tracking Guide
This guide walks you through everything you’ll see and do on the NodeK section of the Homnifi platform once your NodeK Computer Device is shipped, delivered, and connected. You’ll understand what each status means, what options show up, and what actions you should take to earn maximum rewards.
Where You’ll See This
Once you log in to Homnifi, go to the NodeK section. There you’ll see all your NodeK Computer Devices listed, each with one of the following labels:
1. Understanding Device Statuses
Each Computer Device is grouped into one of these categories:
🏠 In-House
What you see: The device card shows a status called "In-House" and a button labeled “Initiate Shipping.”
What it means: Your device hasn’t been shipped yet and is still with the Homnifi team.
What to do: Click the “Initiate Shipping” button. It will take you to the Horysmall platform where you can complete the shipping request. You must do this to begin using your device.
What you see: The status changes to “In-Transit” once you’ve initiated shipping.
What it means: Your device is on its way to you. You won’t be able to connect it or track internet activity yet.
What to do: Nothing for now — wait until your device is delivered.
What you see: The device now appears under a “Delivered” tab or label. You’ll see a new “Connect” button appear on the card.
What it means: Your device has been delivered and is eligible to be connected to NodeK for internet tracking.
What to do:
Click the “Connect” button.
A popup will ask you to enter either the Serial Number or MAC Address (printed on your physical device).
Once validated, your device will be connected and shown as “Connected.”
You’ll also start seeing daily logs of whether it’s online or offline.
2. Reward Boost & Grace Period
Extra Rewards Eligibility:
As communicated earlier, All next-generation devices (GEN2) designed for the NODEK protocol (i.e. Devices purchased after 10th March 2025) are eligible for additional rewards for online connectivity.
Once your Computer Device is delivered, here’s what you’ll see and how your rewards work:
Grace Period
What you see: The platform shows the number of grace days remaining directly on the device card or in the device details.
What it means: You will automatically get the extra reward every day during grace period, regardless of whether your device is connected to the internet.
What to do: It’s still a good idea to connect your device during this period so tracking can begin — but even if it’s offline, you’ll keep earning the bonus for now.
3. What Happens After the Grace Period?
After the grace period ends, daily tracking becomes important. You’ll now see each day’s reward amount tied to whether your device is connected to the internet or not.
If Your Device is Online:
What you see: The reward transaction for that day includes a separate entry labeled “Online Bonus.”
What it means: Your device was connected, and you earned the extra reward.
Auto Compound: If you enabled it, this bonus will also be auto-linked.
If Your Device is Offline:
What you see: You’ll still see a reward transaction entry, but the online bonus will show “0 mLYK.”
What it means: Your device wasn’t online that day, so you only received the base reward - no bonus.
Auto Compound: This won’t apply on offline days since there's no bonus to stake.
4. How Connectivity Is Shown
You can click on a device to view its Device Details. Here’s what you’ll see:
Delivery Date: When your device was officially marked as delivered.
Connected On: The date you connected the device to NodeK using the MAC Address or Serial Number.
Daily Logs: A list showing each day with one of two statuses:
✅ Online
❌ Offline
These logs directly impact your rewards. Staying connected every day post-grace ensures you keep earning the bonus.
5. What the Connect Button Does
You’ll only see the “Connect” button after the device is marked as Delivered.
When you click it:
A modal will open asking for either your Serial Number or MAC Address.
This information is used to verify and link your physical Computer Device to your account.
Once verified, the device is marked as Connected and starts logging daily internet activity.
You can only do this once - once connected, the button disappears and the device is marked permanently as connected.
6. Transaction History View
You can go to your Transaction History section to get a deeper view of daily rewards.
Here’s what’s new:
A new column shows your device’s Online Status for each reward day.
If the device was Online, a second row shows the Online Bonus as a separate entry.
If the device was Offline, you’ll see a row with 0 rewards under Online Bonus to indicate you missed it that day.
Auto Compound entries (if enabled) will reflect the bonus staking on connected days.
7. Things You Should Know
You only need to connect once. After that, NodeK will check daily if your device is online.
Staying connected after your grace period is the key to continuing to earn extra every single day.
The grace period consists of fixed days starting the day after delivery (not from connection).
You can view all your connection activity and status from the Device Details page or through the Transaction History.
