# Post-Linking Period Options - Unlock and Re-Link

## Overview

When your CloudK Software License completes its Linking Period, you gain the flexibility to manage your linked mLYK Utility Token according to your strategy. The platform provides two distinct options to help you maximize the value of your software license:

### Accessing Your Options

Once the Linking Period for your CloudK Software License has been completed, two action buttons will appear in your software license section:

* Unlock
* Relink

These buttons are positioned next to the respective software license and remain available throughout the software license validity period, allowing you to make your decision at any time before the software license expires.

## Option 1: Unlock Utility Token

The Unlock Utility Token option allows you to retrieve your linked mLYK tokens through a structured vesting schedule designed to provide steady release while maintaining platform stability.

### How Does Unlock Work

1. Vesting Schedule: When you click the Unlock button, your total linked mLYK Utility Token enters a 500-day vesting period.
2. Daily Release Calculation: The system automatically calculates your daily unlocked amount using the following formula:

Daily Unlocked Amount = Total Linked mLYK ÷ 500

3. Claim Process: Navigate to your software license details page to claim your daily unlocked Utility Token.
4. Token Conversion: Claimed **mLYK** is automatically converted to **LYK-W** and credited to your Homnifi wallet.
5. Accrual Feature: If you miss claiming on any given day, the unlocked amount accumulates and can be claimed later in a single transaction.

### Claiming Your Unlocked Utility Token

* Access the License Details page for the unlocked software license
* Review the available unlocked balance (includes current day plus any accrued unclaimed amounts)
* Click the Claim button to transfer tokens to your Homnifi wallet
* The claimed amount appears in both your Wallet Transaction History and Software License Transaction History

### Important Considerations

Permanent Decision: Once you unlock the utility token amount, the software license becomes permanently ineligible for re-linking. The software license cannot be used to generate rewards again.<br>

## Option 2: Re-Link Software License

Re-linking your software license enables you to continue earning rewards without interruption. This option provides flexibility to maintain or increase your utility token commitment while extending the linking period within your software license validity.

### Eligibility Requirements

To use the Re-Link option, your software license must meet the following conditions:

* **Software License Status:** The software license must not be expired and must have remaining validity days
* **Sufficient Validity Period:** The software license must have enough days remaining to accommodate the new linking period you select

### How Does Re-Link Work

#### Step 1: Initiate Re-Linking

* Click the Relink button next to your eligible software license
* The Re-Linking Modal will open, displaying your current software license configuration

#### Step 2: Configure Utility Token Amount

The modal displays your current linked utility token amount. You have two options:

* Maintain Current Amount: Re-link with the same mLYK utility token that was previously linked and proceed without entering the additional amount.
* Increase Utility Token: Add additional mLYK from your wallet to increase the total linked amount, which will enhance your BLV (Base License Value) and GLP (Global Liquidity Pool) calculations

#### Step 3: Select Linking Period

Choose the duration for your new linking period:

* Standard Period: Re-link for the same period as your previous linking cycle
* Extended Period: Select a longer linking period for enhanced rewards (subject to remaining software license validity)
* Maximum Period Option: A Max option is always available, automatically setting the linking period to the full remaining validity of your software license

#### Step 4: Confirm Re-Linking

* Confirm the transaction to activate the re-linked software license
* The software license will begin generating rewards from the next day onwards

Once the expiry of the software license has reached, the total locked tokens will be available for unlock.&#x20;

### Transaction Recording

All re-linking activities are comprehensively tracked for your records:

* Software License Transaction History: Records the re-linking transaction with details of the new utility token amount and linking period
* Period Upgrade Tracking: If you select an extended linking period, this upgrade is logged separately in the transaction history
* Updated BLV and GLP Values: The software license displays the recalculated Base License Value and Global Liquidity Pool contribution

## Decision Guide: Unlock vs. Re-Link

Choosing between unlocking and re-linking depends on your goals and needs. The following comparison helps you make an informed decision:
