# 17th Dec - Homnifi Platform Update

### **Maintenance Charges Removed Across All Machines**

We’re pleased to announce that maintenance charges have now been fully removed for all machines across the Homnifi ecosystem.

Going forward, users will no longer be charged any maintenance fees, and the protocol itself will absorb and manage these operational costs for next 6 months. As a result:

* There will be no more maintenance deductions from user balances
* No penalties will be applied for non-payment of maintenance
* Machine operations and reward generation will continue uninterrupted

This update simplifies participation, removes recurring overhead, and ensures that users can focus entirely on maximizing rewards and long-term value, without worrying about ongoing maintenance compliance.

### **New Relink Option for Software Licenses**

We’ve introduced a Relink feature for CloudK licenses, giving users greater control and flexibility once a license completes its initial linking period.

For eligible CloudK licenses, users will now see two clear options:

* Unlock: Unlocks the license and claim the linked tokens as usual.
* Relink: Relink tokens within the same license and continue generating rewards until the original license expiry.

**Why this matters**

This enhancement allows users to extract more value from existing licenses without needing to purchase new ones. By relinking instead of unlocking immediately, users can:

* Extend reward generation within the same license lifecycle
* Maximize daily rewards
* Avoid additional upfront costs
* Operate more efficiently with their current setup

It’s a powerful way to keep licenses productive for longer while maintaining full flexibility.
